FITFANTASY/Aminos
FITFANTASY/Aminos
Ok, I'll admit it, I kind of did a bait and switch on this one. Even though Aminos are extremely important, and I say that the first A in FITFANTASY stands for Aminos, it actually stands for All of the micro and macronutrients that we need to consume. The point of this A is to remind us to examine our diets and consider how much of each macro/micro nutrient we need. Let's be honest. Most of us already know how much we need. This is why I don't feel too guilty about summarizing everything with the term "aminos".
Unfortunately many experts seem to disagree about how much of each macro/micro nutrient we need. While some diets call for high fat and low carbohydrates, and others call for low fat and high carbohydrates, virtually all diets seem to call for at least a medium amount of protein. Protein helps us build strong muscles and recover. Here are some books that debate how much "aminos" we need. They also discuss the other micro and macronutrients we need as well.
